There is a lot I want to bring up in this ArkLetter this month, so lets just dive right in. I wanted to be announcing that we have sent the book to the press, but that ideal was dashed on the rocks of reality, sad to say. We are still plodding, but not fast enough for our own desires, much less anybody else's! I'm abjectly sorry for those whose hearts are broken by this news. There is nothing I want more than to release this book, but my karma/dharma insists that this happen according to forces beyond my control.
The good news is, I've been working on an interview with a key collaborator that will be released soon, which I hope will be of great interest to my readers here. An extraordinary level of support is making itself available right now, so I am running with this ball as fast as I can. In the interview we will be exploring the internal structure of the Icon and the Ladder of Lights at its center. In particular, we will be unveiling the inherent Alchemy encoded into our astrological worldview, and how this mathematical model has influenced the Western Mystery Tradition since it first impacted the Greeks in the Alexandrian era. Naturally, I believe that this information is vital to the foundations of Tarot, it's function and meaning to its early users. But during this video I'm only looking glancingly at phenomena as modern as playing cards. The focus will be on the truly ancient Mysteries, and the imprint that still remains of this remarkable body of teachings and beliefs.
Simultaneously, my long-time friend and fellow shaman Nicki Scully has invited me to teach this same astro-alchemical model to her students of the Anubis Oracle.
