[Originally published in July of 1999; abridged and revised for TarotU niversity in August 2006]...The sequence currently employed to govern the Trump appears to be quite old. The oldest pack which shows this ordering is the French set by Catelin Geofroy, from 1557 (Kaplan, Vol. 1, p. 65). Placing itself right at the cusp between Leo and Virgo (becoming critical at zero degrees, thirty minutes of Virgo), this lunation is nitched into a slot that makes no close aspects to any of the planets, according to my very tight orb system.
