 For an introduction to Tarotlogy, see ArkLetter 62. Click the Master Tarotology Icon to the right for a BLANK tarotlogy chart (no dates) to work on for yourself. This month's chart icon and its corresponding reading is below.

This month I'm submitting August's Tarotlogy Icon with a shorter reading than normal, hoping to encourage you to use the blank chart master on the right and try your hand at doing one yourself. You can click on the "Tarotlogy" category to the right and pull up the past Tarotlogy reports to see examples of earlier charts and some ways to think about how to use this Icon as your own lens. Here we are in the northern hemisphere's High Summer, watching the first signs of the upcoming change of seasons. NewMoon in late Leo puts us on notice that we have passed the halfway point in the season. The shift in day-length is also unmistakable to those who live in the far North or South of the globe. We are now engaged in the portion of the year called by the ancient Greek astrologers the Dry Way of Detachment. During this period the seeking soul follows the Sun as it slowly retreats from the heat and passion distilled during the alchemical peak signs of Cancer and Leo.

• NewMoon at 25+ Leo, on Friday August 17th  at 11:55 AM (EDT) / 8:55 AM (PDT). From this moment, the Moon begins to wax, or increase. 

FUTURE STAGES:

• 2nd Quarter, Waxing Half Moon at 1+ Sagittarius, on Friday, August 24th at 9:55 AM (EDT) / 6:55 AM (PDT).
• Full Moon at 8+ Pisces on Friday August 31st, at 9:59 AM (EDT) / 6:59 AM (PDT). From this moment, the Moon begins to wane, or decrease.
• 4th Quarter, Waning Half Moon at 16+ Gemini on Saturday September 8th, at 9:16 AM (EDT) / 6:16 AM (PDT).
• Next NewMoon at 23+ Virgo, on Saturday, September 15th, at 10:12 PM (EDT) / 7:12 PM (PDT). From this moment, the Moon begins to wax, or increase.
