IN THIS ISSUE:
I. Navigating our Cultural Singularity...I have been having a feeling very strongly the entire month of
November, as if we were in the trough of a retrograde. There's a sense
of standing still and grinding gears, but in fact we are turning around
internally to face an entirely new direction. A more active analogue
could be drawn to the alchemical process of putrefaction, meaning the
disassembly of old forms before re-assembling them anew. It's a messy,
imprecise, challenging process, certainly not a job for sissies. Whew!
No wonder it has been nearly impossible to concentrate on 'normal
stuff'!...

II. World Servers' Spread, November, 2008...Along with the other synchronicities that have offered themselves
up over the last month, one of them was the arrival of the book Art and Arcana; Commentary on the Medieval Scapini Tarot by
Ronald Decker, published by US Games Systems, Inc. The Medieval
Scapini Tarot has been one of my workhorse packs over the years. Luigi
Scapini is the artist to whom was granted the prestigious commission to
replace the missing cards of the Visconti-Sforza and Cary-Yale Visconti
packs, so they could be reproduced for sale. Meanwhile, Ronald Decker
is one of a small group of researchers that virtually all Tarot
historians respect. I had no idea that this book existed until
recently, but now that I know, I want to share the news in case there's
still some copies kicking around, available to be snatched up. ...

III. New Moon Notes - November, 2008 ... Looking at this wedge chart defined by the mutable signs,
there's a feeling of great force focused upon a narrow target. By
'great force' I mean the chain of 9 planets and Lights from NewMoon in
Sagittarius to Uranus in Pisces. By 'narrow target’ I mean Saturn in
Virgo, the tip of the wedge....
